As a church and as individual Christ-followers  we seek passionately to fulfill our Vision to Share, Teach, and Live the Story of Jesus Christ.

Our Community

Community … It’s in our very name. Community Presbyterian Church in Celebration holds the belief that God's voice is best heard through a prayerful community of Christ-followers. Our leadership is composed of a Session, or Board, of fifteen Elders, both women and men, elected by our congregation, our ordained pastors called by God to serve this church and a talented staff of non-ordained leaders. Together, this group prayerfully seeks to discern God’s will for our community and to shape ministry in accordance with it.

Our Church

The word "Presbyterian" derives from the Greek word Presbyter, meaning "elder." Our polity, or church government, strongly relies on the guidance of our Elders. This representative polity distinguishes our governing principles from other forms of church government. Our congregation belongs to Central Florida Presbytery, a 10-county geographical region which includes approximately 80 Presbyterian congregations, and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Community Presbyterian Church reaches out to a post-modern culture – engaging the senses, embracing ancient-future elements and providing “safe space” to both seasoned saints and “seekers.” Worship services include a blend of both classical, or “traditional,” and contemporary elements. Members experience Community Presbyterian to be a non-threatening community of fallible and forgiven humans – a place where they can grow in faith, learn about Jesus Christ, and also discern how God is calling them to serve in the community and the world.

Our approximately 650-member church reflects the people of South Orlando – reaching through Celebration and encompassing the larger communities of Hunter’s Creek, Davenport, Kissimmee, Poinciana, St. Cloud, Winter Garden and many others. Members represent all ages and cultural backgrounds and also come from a variety of Christian traditions - Catholic, Episcopalian, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Brethren, Assemblies of God, Church of God, and independent church denominations. All feel at home at Community Presbyterian Church. We've never checked IDs at the door!
