Funerals

The resurrection is a central doctrine of the Christian faith and shapes Christians’ attitudes and responses to the event of death. Death brings loss, sorrow, and grief to all. In the face of death Christians affirm with tears and joy the hope of the gospel. Christians do not bear bereavement in isolation but are sustained by the power of the Spirit and the community of faith. The church offers a ministry of love and hope to all who grieve.

When a loved one dies, please contact the church at 407-566-1633 (a pastoral emergency line may be accessed through the church’s telephone voice directory if death occurs outside of normal office hours). Our pastors and staff will seek to provide pastoral support and to help you coordinate a Service of Witness to the Resurrection, as desired.

Our all-too-human congregation desires, by God’s grace, to be present to you as you face grief.

If you wish to pre-arrange funeral or memorial services, please contact our Office Manager to arrange an appointment with one of our pastors.

We advise our members to sign a Florida Living Will.
