Session
Our Session consists of 12 elders, including both men and women, who guide the policies and governance of the congregation. This Session meets monthly to plan and carry out the mission of the church and is charged with the spiritual growth of the church.
Elders are tasked with particular areas of responsibly but they corporately involve themselves in all aspects of the church’s ministry. This willingness to be involved brings a synergy to the group and allows more than one person to meet the daily challenges of ministry.
Each year the congregation elects a Nominating Committee to interview prospective men and women to fill vacancies on the Session and present a slate of nominees at a called congregational meeting. Elders are then elected by the congregation for terms of one to three years. Following their term of service, elders are considered elders for life and they continue to play an important part in the daily life of the congregation.
