Bio

I have been the director of the preschool since October 31, 2005. I lived in Lake county for 30 years before relocating to this area. I have two sons, Rocky and Roger. Rocky is married to his wife Amanda and they have blessed me with 2 granddaughters, Alexis- 9 and Mylie- 1. My son Roger has graduated college and does IT work. I am also working on my bachelors degree in Psychology - Behavioral Analysis.

I was the director of preschool/daycare at First Baptist Church of Fruitland Park for 6 years and the K4 teacher for a year. I have all the appropriate credentials to be the director but most importantly I have the love for children, the conviction to help them learn about Christ, desire to teach them how to communicate with each other using words, and to be an example to them. I feel like this is a ministry, and we can give these children so much positive influence in a world of a lot of negative influence. God led me to work with young children but I never saw it coming. I treasure this position and look forward to a great journey in this church.

I take very seriously what God has asked me to do. I truly love the church staff; they have been so supportive and loving of me. I’m fortunate to work with a preschool board made up of a group of supportive, loving and caring people.

Before we start our day in the preschool, the staff has prayer time together. We pray for the children, their families, this church and each other. What a wonderful gift God has given me to be able to do that where I am employed. I am so blessed.
